You would format the directories like: /dir/dir/dir A mac is basically a unix machine so you can search for linux commands to help you out. use forward slashes rather than back slashes. Starting with the HD name, then "users", then my account folder and then the folder I need corrected...all with "\" in between...what am I doing wrong? Is there a way to make this recursive, that is apply to contained items? For me, I have the extra Everyone | Custom on every file in my Home directory, but every folder is correct. Apple support didn't know what to do, and this works but does not go into the directories. And since it is every file, including preferences, I'm really in a pickle. Thanks!
